Chic Bachelorette!

Hey everyone! Last weekend I put my party planning skills to use to create a chic bachelorette dinner for one of my girlfriends! Party planning can definently be a challenge & stressful but if you create a vision and stay organzied there is a wonderful opportunity to bring your vision to life! It was simple and elegant & cost me under $100 for a party of 6 people. Having the bride-to-be volunteer her home was an absolute pleasure because it was so fun for us all to dine comfortably and then help her slip into her amazing outfit for our NYC festivities! Below I broke down my ideas and creative tips including some pictures! Let me know what you all think & don't hestiate to ask any questions!

  • First, create a vision or theme. My vision was pretty easy because I know my girlfriend's style which is between traditional, elegance & chic. Her wedding color is purplish/pink so I picked that as the color theme.
  • Make a list of everything you (or your guest) has at home already so you don't have to overspend.
  • Figure out what you are going to buy & where. Coordinate your transportation according to where the stores are located. This will keep you from getting overwhelemed and running around like a nut!
  • VERY IMPORTANT: coordinate your time. Give yourself an extra 2 hours to rest & relax before getting yourself ready.
  • Food is also very important & can become expensive. First, ask others in the Bridal Party to pinch in for food.  Second, pick a tastey place that has family style. Depending on how many guests you have. Easy menu: 2 appetizers, 2 main dishes & make your own dessert.

Table Setting:
Black Table Cloth (material) $9 on sale at Target.
